Thirty Ate Eatery

All Thirty Ate Eatery’s dishes have been carefully selected for their freshness to make sure that our patrons will always have something delicious! From the starters to the desserts, there are plenty of mouth-watering options. We also offer free Wi-Fi so you can get work done or post that all-important selfie from your dinner table. A yummy selection of cocktails and wine is ready for your post- or pre-meal enjoyment. On First Thursdays (the first thursday of every month), and selected Friday evenings we have live music in the eatery.

Our operating times are breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bookings are highly recommended.

The Venue

The Venue, on the first floor of the Grand Daddy Hotel, is a luscious locale, perfect for just about any function. The open-plan space, with multi-level lighting, subtle décor, break-away recess area and fully functional bar, is a blank canvass for your event.

Ideally suited to conferences, meetings, corporate dinners, cocktail parties and product launches, the Venue is centrally located on the doorstep of Cape Town’s playground, the iconic Long Street.

We are proud to use this space as a gallery for local artists and host a number of exhibitions and launches. Our gallery space in the venue is a must-stop on the First Thursdays route. (First Thursdays take place on the first Thursday of every month and feature exhibitions, launches, drinks and meal specials at participating venues on Long and Bree Streets)

Daddy’s Bars

Daddy Cool Bar & Sky Bar

This is where the cool come to kick back in style. A magpie’s delight, complete with white leather, shiny surfaces, bling chains and quirky golden treasures, Daddy Cool Bar is the scene of sparkling celebration.

Loved by locals as well as by our guests, Daddy Cool Bar is where you share a bottle of fine wine, sample cocktails or snack on our delicious offerings from the kitchen.

Picture yourself on a rooftop in Cape Town: seven vintage Airstream trailers glint in the spectacular sunset, you’re kicking back on a wooden deck and enjoying the view in your own deckchair.

Perched in this surreal playscape, your effervescent, thirst-quenching champagne, cocktails or cold beers will be served while you’re surrounded by Cape Town’s skyline.
