Body Worlds Vital

9 August 2016 to 23 October 2016

Body Worlds returns with another of its 11 exhibitions that have now been seen by over 40 million people in over 100 cities. Using 180 anatomical specimens of real human bodies, Body Worlds Vital peers under the skin to explore how lifestyle choices affect health and vitality, and what happens to a body afflicted by cancer, diabetes or a serious addiction.

“As a twisted enthusiast of the grim and the gory, I salivated at the opportunity to view human innards that belonged to the formerly living, in a setting that is non-threatening and legal. However, Body Worlds Vital was not a platform from which to feed my fiendish curiosity. Rather, it is an educational exhibit that informs on the various machinations of the human body…” Read Nwabisa Mbana’s review of Body Worlds Vital at the Watershed, V&A Waterfont.
