Cape Town Carnival
The annual Cape Town Carnival certainly is a spectacle! The street is turned into a pedestrian walkway filled with food vendors, stalls and festive hospitality areas. The Carnival parade begins at 7:30 pm and lasts approximately 2 hours. Expect to see dazzling large scale floats, elaborately costumed dancers, musicians, performers and more.

Cape Town Sixes – Cricket & Culture Festival
Cape Town will add another key fixture to the 2016 sporting calendar with the launch of the Cape Town Sixes Cricket and Cultural Festival in March next year.
“Our festival takes sporting events to new heights by combining sport, music, food and social development (CSR) – in the townships of the Western Cape. The 2 day festival (19–20 March 2016) features eight cricket leagues, a food of the nations village, a Bigger Than Me change precinct, a kids and family area and ends with a music concert on the Sunday (Monday is a public holiday) featuring the legendary South African band Mango Groove and more acts to be announced.”- Cape Town Sixes Festival
