Chic, smooth and with a twist at the end, like Cape Town herself, the Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel's luxury rooms (30 sq. m/325 sq. ft in size and able to accommodate families with children) and superior rooms (20 sq.m/215 sq. ft) are subtle, stylish and shimmering. Our Standard Rooms (20 sq.m/215 sq. ft) have windows onto the inner courtyard and have no windows facing outwards onto the road.
The comforts of an internationally recognised four-star hotel are made all the more special as the room is peppered with clever local touches – as envisaged by interior designer Tracy Lynch. Our lampshades are decorated with clouds of South African place names – from Pofadder to Polokwane – while our headboards are bedecked with outlines of African aloes.
Both luxury and superior rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed or two single beds.
Snug furry blankets add texture to cool cotton linen, making the rooms ready for any surprises the Cape of Storms might have in store.
