Reflections from the Rooftop

Mirror, mirror on the roof…

It is often said that the best mirror is an old friend.  Well, some of the Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel’s old friends have been shone up to look much like mirrors.  The vintage Airstream Rooftop Trailer Park is undergoing a makeover that will turn the interior of each into an iconic South African landscape.

Reflections in the newly shone trailers range from Table Mountain to the city skylines, vintage post boxes to empty spaces.  The empty spaces are soon to be filled with a grand tour that will take you on an iconic South African road trip - think flowers, safari, karoo, winelands, beach and surfing just to whet your appetite - so watch this space as the reflections grow.

It is also said that the reason a car’s windshield is so large and the rearview mirror is so small is because what's happened in your past is not nearly as important as what is in your future. The Airstream Rooftop Trailer Park may be closed for business, but is a hive of genius, artistry and activity, getting ready to welcome guests at the end of August once more.  The future looks bright.

*The beautiful Grand Daddy Boutique Hotel remains open for business as usual; it is just the Airstream Rooftop Trailer Park that is currently under construction.
