Arno Carstens and Albert Frost Live and Unplugged at the Daddy!
Two legends, one stage … That’s just how the Daddy rolls.
On Thursday, May 26, 2011, two of South Africa’s most iconic musicians will take part in a delicious double bill of rambunctious rock ’n roll and bodacious blues.
South African über-musicians Arno Carstens and Albert Frost need no introduction, but we do look forward to introducing them in Grand style on the Daddy’s rooftop …
Tickets to this show, which starts at 18h00 on Thursday, 26 May, cost R100 and must be pre-booked: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on +27 (0)21 424 7247 and ask to speak to Shameena.
Arno Carstens has made a seamless transition from Springbok Nude Girls frontman to fronting his own solo career.
Currently, he has two homes: The Mother City (that's Cape Town for our international readers) and the Big Smoke (London).
His third solo album and United Kingdom debut, Wonderful Wild, is responsible for the hit single Dreamer, which was one of the biggest radio hits of 2010, according to South Africa’s Media Guide Top 100. Heartbreak Monday, also off Wonderful Wild, was playlisted on the UK’s Radio 2 and Absolute Radio and hailed by the British Press as one of the “songs of summer 2010”, according to Arno's official bio.

Albert Frost is one of South Africa’s best guitarists and greatest exports. He’s been spreading his talent for more than 20 years and has performed and recorded with the likes of Vusi Mahlasela, Koos Kombuis, Valiant Swart, Riku Latti, Louis Mhlanga and Simon Orange.
He has shared stages with The Rolling Stones, REM and Simple Minds and performed for Nelson Mandela. Alongside Arno, Albert has shared the stage with Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and the Pixies.
Now living in the Western Cape, Albert continues to be one of the most prolific musicians ever to come from South African soil. Check out his most recent EP, Devils & Gods, for just a taste of what the man delivers.
