13th Annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival 30 & 31 March

One of Daddy’s favourite events on the annual Cape Town Calendar is definitely the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.  It is two days in the year, when music lovers from all over, gather to see 40 of the best local and international Jazz musicians performing on 5 stages at the Cape Town Convention Centre.  This is reckoned as the most prestigious Jazz event in Africa.

The Jazz Festival started in 2000 and has grown over the years, to be counted as 4^th in the world, outshining other events such as Switzerland’s Montreaux Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival. The attendance figures have also increased over the last 12 years to about 34 000.

This year the Cape Town International Jazz Festival will take place on Friday 30 March and Saturday 31 March.   Music lovers can look forward to be thrilled once again by world class performances.
